Tomorrow starts our weeklong counselor appreciation
celebration. Shout out to our counselors
for taking care of kids, families and teachers in the building. They are an integral part of supporting all
the many layers in a school and we appreciate the heart they give day in and
day out!

Fundraiser
Jodie Allen from Fresh Art Photography and Bailey Allen’s
mom is offering her services and providing a fundraiser to support the Student
Leaders trip to Birmingham in April.
Please see the attached flyer if you are interested. 25% of the session fee comes back to Hixson
to help kids who need financial assistance attend! The deadline to book is February 7th.
SLT Meeting-2/4
SLT will be meeting tomorrow in the library from
3:30-4:30pm. This meeting will be
important and all the leaders will share what everyone is thinking and make a
decision about our Spring PT conference times.
Steger 6th
Visit-2/4
The last 6th grade team will be visiting tomorrow
to make up for the missed days last week.
7th
Grade Orientation, 2/6
The makeup 7th grade Orientation will be on
Wednesday, 2/6 starting at 6pm until 8 pm.
Lion’s Choice
Fundraiser, 2/7
Stop by Lion’s Choice (Rockhill location) on Thursday for
our monthly fundraiser from 4-8pm. Grab
dinner for the whole family and 20% of sales comes back to Hixson.
Faculty Meeting,
2/11
Our next faculty meeting will be led by the Science
department, starting at 3:30pm in the cafeteria.
Valentine’s Day
Picture Fundraiser, 2/14
Students will have the chance to get their pictures taken
professionally with friends, teachers or by themselves for $2.00 during
lunch. This will be a great time for
teams and departments to get a professional picture taken too!
District PD Day,
2/15
The next District PD day is 2/15 and will start with an
Edcamp session. After lunch, folks will
have time to meet in CLT’s or departments to work until the end of the day,
3:15pm.
Outs for the Week
The counselors will be out on Thursday from 8-11am
Sarah and Grace will be out on Friday for a Character
Education Field Trip with Vinnie’s B-Ball team
