Choir Tour, 12/13

Choir students will depart for their annual tour, visiting schools throughout the district.  Students know they are responsible for their missed work.

Math Interviews

If you are interested in serving on the interview committee for math, please let me know.  We will begin interviews in January.

SAMs Shadow

On December 17^th and 18^th, there will be a person shadowing me all day.  I’m participating in a program for DESE called SAMs.  SAMs is a program designed to provide feedback to principals on use of time throughout the day.  My shadow will be with me both days, collecting data silently and not engaging with me or any of you.  The  data is confidential and our shadow is only collecting data on how I spend my day.  If we have a conversation and you are not comfortable with the shadow being present, the shadow will be asked to respect privacy.  If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out and share a conversation.  I’m happy to answer any questions.

Change in Spring PT Conferences

There has been an adjustment to our PT conferences for the Spring.  We were informed that on March 10^th, Hixson will be a polling place for the Presidential Primary.  We are anticipating a large turnout for the vote and will be changing our conference date.  The new dates are March 9^th from 4-8pm and March 11^th from 1-8.
