It’s about to happen…the first day of school! There has been A LOT of activity in the halls
of Hixson today with folks moving about and getting things ready. I hope between the buzz of excitement and the
panic for wanting more time, you were able to find some time to carve out for
yourself. One last nap…one last cup of
coffee at a leisurely pace…one last dip in the pool. I’m looking forward to putting away summer
Grace (though I will miss the shorts and t-shirt) and welcome in the new
year. Thank you for all the care you put
into making your classrooms safe and inviting for kids. The community you create in those spaces is
incredible!
Thank you especially to Aimee and Mike for the endless work
they do behind the scenes to serve kids and teachers. It has been a crazy summer of curveballs and
life just happening but they have taken each one with grace and worked to
ensure we are ready for school. There is
no greater team of admin people I’m honored to serve alongside than those two and
their work is appreciated!
Starting next week, the memo will go out on Sunday, like
usual.
In the meantime, let me know if you need anything and enjoy
this last night!
