March 31, 2019
I hope you were able to get out and enjoy this sunny (though
chilly) day. After the gloomy Saturday,
it was nice to see the sun and dry out a little. Thanks to all who came out and canvassed on
Saturday. I know it wasn’t the best day
but appreciate the effort!
Just a couple of gentle reminders about arriving to duty on
time and taking attendance. As we move
into the final stretch (8 weeks) of our school year, being on duty in the morning
and in-between classes is important. I
know things happen but if we can try to be visible, it may help the kids as
they enter the senioritis portion of the year.
Also, please be diligent about taking attendance. There have a been a handful of times that the
irregularity in attendance has become an emergency. We rely on the attendance that you take to
make sure kids are accounted for. If a
student is not marked for a stretch of time, the system sends a report home
alerting parents.
Here's to a sunny, warmer week and happy April!
